Project Details

The APLNG Spring Gully PCF Project is located between the Injune-Taroom and Roma-Taroom roads, approximately 130 km northeast of the Roma Township.

The scope of work included the supply of all labour, plant, equipment and materials to complete site access roads around Origin Energy’s newly constructed LNG plant including:

  • Import, place and compact select fill material for sub-grade layer for plant access roads
  • Import, place and compact Type 2.3 granular fill material for sub-base layer, for plant access roads
  • Import, place and compact Type 2.1 granular fill material for base coarse layer, for plant access roads
  • Construction of road shoulders, trapezoidal drains and hardstand batters
  • Reinstatement of grassed drains, soil treatment and topsoil
  • Bituminous sealing (2 chip seal) for plant access roads
  • Supply and installation of all road furniture and line marking (including guide posts and road signage)
  • Installation of in-situ concrete culvert headwalls
  • Complete material testing and in-situ testing for all fill materials including; PSD’s, CBR’s, Atterberg Limits and Density
  • Complete ball penetration tests for bituminous sealing works
  • Complete concrete quality testing for all in-situ concrete
  • Installation of ACO drains to plant workshops
