Project Details

Centrals were engaged by FMG Solomon, for the management and construction of the new Conveyor Overpasses, which consisted of roadworks, earthworks, concrete construction, mechanical equipment installation and electrical works, including commissioning. The project was located 60 km north of Tom Price, WA, on the operating mine site.

The scope of work consisted of the following:

CV704 – Heavy Vehicle Overpass

  • Construction of heavy and light vehicle roads
  • Development and implementation of mine vehicle traffic management plans
  • 60 m Precast Concrete Tunnel and associated concrete works and earthworks
  • Installation of road barriers, fire suppression pipework and lighting

Simpson’s Drive – Heavy Vehicle Overpass

  • Construction of heavy and light vehicle roads
  • Development and implementation of mine vehicle traffic management plans
  • 78 m Corrugated Metal Plate Tunnel and associated concrete works and earthworks
  • Installation of road barriers, rock aprons, signage and other ancillary items as two fully-functional warehouse facilities.
