Centrals is a wholly owned subsidiary of Resource Development Group Limited (RDG), capable of delivering a range of multidiscipline construction and maintenance services for clients in the Resources, Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities sectors across Australia. We offer a full suite of new construction services from detailed earthworks, to complex civil and structural projects.

For over ten years, we have experienced consistent year-on-year growth through the delivery of quality, safe and reliable construction and remedial services. This sustainable business growth enables us to retain our key assets – our people. Leadership

Our senior executive level of directors and shareholders are individuals with more than 30 years’ experience each.

Andrew Ellison

Managing Director

Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in maintenance and construction contracting across Australia and West Africa, including seven years as Managing Director of Cimeco and as a director of its parent company Forge Group. His experience includes civil and concrete works, commercial building, structural steel, mechanical and piping, tanks and electrical services. With a wide range of experience in every aspect of business management and contracting, Andrew’s focus at Centrals is on business development strategies and assets management.

Gary Reid

Director, Construction

Gary has over 30 years’ experience in civil and concrete projects for the Resources, Energy, Infrastructure, Utilities and Commercial Building sectors in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland. Having worked his way up from the tools, he is intimately experienced in every aspect of civil and concrete construction, as well as structural steel and mechanical installation, including more than 20 years’ of experience as a Project Manager/Director on packages up to A$250M.

Michael Kenyon

Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer

Michael holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Edith Cowan University, is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has over 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles within public companies.

Integrated Management

Introduction

Centrals operates in accordance with our integrated management system (IMS), which is accredited by Bureau Veritas to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 45001 (OHS). We have an Electrical Contractors Licence, are WHS accredited by the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner and MRWA B2, B3 and F25 prequalified.

We are proud of our excellent track record in relation to health, safety and the environment and are fully committed to continuous improvement throughout all levels of our organisation. Our mature systems instil a workplace culture which reflects our vision of industry-leading quality and world-class health, safety and environmental standards.

Safety

Quality

Our ISO 9001 Quality Management system comprises of a Quality Policy, Integrated Management System Manual and Corporate Procedures as well as a comprehensive suite of template forms, checklists, registers and other documents.

Recognising the unique aspects of every project, a project-specific quality management plan is developed to clearly document the quality requirements in accordance with our clients’ drawings, specifications and standards.

We incorporate Inspection and Test Plans for each relevant component of the scope of work, to ensure verification of conformance to the required standard or specification.

Environment

We have incorporated a number of key environmental elements into our project delivery strategy, including:

  • Protection of the natural environment via elimination or mimimisation of pollution sources
  • Reduction of waste by adopting the principles of substitution, reduction, recycle or re-use
  • Implementation of training, monitoring and reporting systems, to ensure compliance with legislative and project-specific requirements

We ensure that an effective and thorough environmental management system is implemented on every project, as per Centrals’ Environmental Management Policy and System accredited to ISO 14001.
